Do You Ship Bare-Rooted? A Guide to Our Plant ShippingUpdated 2 months ago

Shipping & Packaging: How We Ship Our Plants

We are committed to ensuring your plants arrive healthy and in great condition. Here's what you need to know about how we package and ship our orders.

Do you ship plants bare root?

In almost all cases, we ship our plants in their pots with the media they are accustomed to. We find this provides the best protection for the plant's root system and minimizes transplant shock.

Why are some plants not in their pot upon arrival?

While we take great care in packaging, some plants, especially smaller or more delicate ones, may become loose from their pots during transit. This can happen due to natural settling of the media or the movement of the package.

What should I do if my plant arrives loose or out of its pot?

Don't worry! This is a very common occurrence for plants in transit and does not mean the plant is damaged. If your plant arrives loose, simply re-pot it in the provided pot with its original media. Give it a light watering and place it in an appropriate environment. The plant should recover quickly and continue to thrive.

If the plant's roots appear damaged or you are concerned about its health, please take a photo and contact our support team immediately. We are happy to help and provide further assistance.

Our Packaging Process

  • Pots and Media: We secure the plant and pot to prevent shifting and use a moisture-taining material to keep the media in place.

  • Protective Packaging: We carefully wrap each plant to protect its leaves and stems from damage.

  • Sturdy Boxes: We use durable, corrugated boxes to ensure the package can withstand the journey to your doorstep.
